Terms of Use
Version 2026-09-18-v1 · Effective 18 September 2026
1. Who runs this site
This marketplace is operated by Joseph Sarpong, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom, at 27 Old Gloucester Street, London WC1N 3AX ("we", "us"). By using the site you agree to these terms.
2. What the marketplace is
The marketplace lets parents find, compare, enquire with and book independent tutors, and lets tutors advertise their services. Except where we are ourselves the tutor for a booking, tuition is delivered by independent tutors under their own arrangements with the family. We provide the platform: the directory, enquiry and booking tools, and payment processing through Stripe.
3. For parents
- Information you submit in enquiries and bookings must be accurate.
- Payments for bookings are taken by Stripe at the point of booking. Cancellation and refund arrangements for a session are agreed with the tutor; contact us if a problem cannot be resolved.
- Reviews can only be written after a completed booking, must be honest and lawful, and are moderated before publication. We may decline or remove reviews that are abusive, defamatory or unrelated to the tuition.
4. For tutors
- You must be entitled to work in the UK and to provide tuition to children, and your profile content must be accurate and yours to use.
- Paid listing tiers renew monthly through Stripe and can be cancelled at any time, taking effect at the end of the billing period.
- Any "verified" badge reflects the checks described at the time of vetting; it is not a guarantee, and safeguarding responsibilities for tuition remain yours.
- Bookings taken through the marketplace carry a platform fee, deducted automatically from the payment via Stripe.
5. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the site: no scraping, no attempting to access other users' data, no posting unlawful content, and no using contact details gathered here for unsolicited marketing. We may suspend or remove accounts and listings that break these terms.
6. Content and liability
Information on the marketplace — including school guides and exam information — is provided in good faith for general guidance and is not professional advice; always confirm details with the school concerned. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for the acts or omissions of independent tutors, for losses arising from information on the site, or for interruptions to the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
7. Privacy
How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Changes and law
We may update these terms; the version number above changes when we do, and continued use after a change means you accept it. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
